Defense acquisition community pilots Proofpoint faculty performance planning system

Washington, DC - October 23, 2007 The Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition community recently launched a pilot program for faculty assessment using Proofpoint Systems' Faculty Performance Planning System (FPPS). FPPS provides a fully integrated system for faculty, supervisors, executive leadership, and performance review boards. The system fully automates the annual performance process from goal development through the calculation and award of year-end, performance-based payouts. FPPS provides the ability for every faculty member to write clear, observable, measurable goals; link their goals to various planning factors and strategies; document their individual development plans (IDP); outline IDP budget requirements; access standardized reports; and manage performance throughout the year. FPPS is a direct result of a previously successful DoD pilot of Proofpoint's SES-focused Goal Alignment System (GOALS). Both systems integrate with Proofpoint's patent pending Resource Investment Gaming EnvironmentTM and permission-based dashboard allowing leaders to see the likely performance impact of their investment decisions on organizational performance. The FPPS contract was facilitated by SRM Group, LLC, a Certified 8(a) organization based in Atlanta. The deployment of FPPS provides a highly intuitive, user friendly, performance management alternative for DoD employees who are not a part of the NSPS population.
