About Us

Proofpoint Systems is pioneering the development of software systems that standardize and improve on the processes typically offered in face-to-face enterprise-level consulting engagements. Our awarding winning products are recognized by industry authorities for helping organizations improve critical business metrics and minimize the need for lengthy and costly consulting engagements. Headquartered in the heart of the Silicon Valley-Los Altos, California-Proofpoint also has research and development facilities in Denver, and sales offices in Phoenix and Washington, DC.

Proofpoint's organizational analysis process-Comprehensive Performance Analysis Support System (ComPASS)-begins with the client question, "What business metric am I not happy with and how do I improve it?" The process works on any measurable performance issue via a series of self-help and easy to perform steps. What often gets done in months with high-end consultancies gets done in a few days using ComPASS. The secret sauce behind ComPASS is a massive database that aligns organizational performance factors and appropriate solutions to provide a unique set of improvement recommendations to particular client issues. All elements of the database are research based and have been thoroughly vetted by an outside team of third party subject matter experts. Virtually every possible performance cause-solution combination is resident in ComPASS giving users near-perfect knowledge unique to their particular business issue.

The resulting recommendations become a weighted decision set for consideration by the client leadership team. Implementation of the finalized solution set can be facilitated using Proofpoint's project management system. This module provides a common sense approach that helps the client team integrate their solutions with other organizational projects. Via a number of client controlled auto-alerts, the system helps ensure the project stays on track.

By contrast, face-to-face consulting engagements are associated with chronic risks and complications. First, they require a raft of external analysts with mixed experience and credentials to spend hundreds of high priced hours interviewing scores of people across the client organization. Consultants, no matter how proficient, do not have perfect knowledge. They also leave out steps or omit key questions-not through neglect, but because they are in the heat of the engagement. Second, consultants tend to inject bias into the analysis. Sometimes it's based on overuse of past experience. Other times it's because they hope to get the follow-on work associated with solution design, development, and implementation. Third, at the end of a typical consulting engagement, the client gets a report. A report; not the actual data.

Beyond analysis and project management, Proofpoint offers a number of other supporting systems: strategic planning, goal development, measurement, and assessment.

The foundational goal of Proofpoint's software is getting the right solutions implemented in minimal time to improve the targeted metric. Along the way, Proofpoint aims to ensure clients keep their data and can effectively integrate all improvement initiatives across the enterprise.
